"Holding Multitudes" at Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts
I'm excited to share that my work is included in Holding Multitudes, a group exhibition with the artist collective Praxis, on view now through October 29, 2026 at the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Praxis formed in 2019 as a cohort to support, challenge, and share in one another's studio practices. I joined in 2020, after moving to Chicago from San Francisco and looking for an artist community. Through studio visits, group readings, exhibition visits, and long conversations, the group has grown into a generous and safe space for sharing ideas, works in progress, and opportunities. All members identify as women or nonbinary and have deep ties to Chicago, Chicagoland, and Milwaukee.
Holding Multitudes brings together work across a wide range of mediums that explores domestic labor, ritual, ecology, repair and healing, memory, fragility, and perseverance. Throughout the show, connections emerge in the ways the artists collect, repeat, transform, repair, and attend to materials. My work, which explores absurd labor, is in conversation with Tanya Gill's pairing of fragility and humor. Together, the works invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and consider how meaning emerges through the things we make, use, collect, and care for.
